INTRODUCING

BACKGROUND
· Fa’anoi’s.Pharmacy Lotto Ltd has been in business for 10 years.
· The first Pacific Island owned operated Lotto outlet in New Zealand.
· The only Pacific Island.pharmacy in New Zealand.
· Trading out of Cobham Court in Porirua for 4 years.

COMMUNITY FOCUS
We are always looking for ways of improving and developing our business to meet the needs of our clients. Since we have been in our current premises we have built 2 consultation rooms on the second floor, which the.pharmacy staff use for private consultations. We also have a homoeopath working from here. We have offered the use of the rooms to the Pacific and Maori midwives to use for clients they are having problems accessing. We have now branched out and Dominic is offering massage, fofo in response to a large number of requests for this and he felt that this service would be very appealing and enjoyable for a large number of our clients and their families.

As with all the services we undertake, we do not like to offer these, unless we can do this with a professional standard. We are both in touch with the community frequently and we try to act on what our clients and the community tell us they would like.

HEALTH & MASSAGE
Dominic has undertaken through the Wellington College of Massage to ensure that he is trained to the highest level possible in massage. He has the advantage of being able to speak in Samoan and identifies with the Pacific Island community and the cultural differences that this brings with it. He is also physically fit and can sustain a high level of pressure for a full body massage to provide good therapeutic benefits to people. He also has the applicable qualifications to back this up. Dominic has currently been negotiating with Porirua Union Health in Cannons Creek to offer massage as part of their primary health strategy. So this will mean he can deliver this service to more people who would not otherwise be able to get a massage.

Dad now has.Type.2.diabetes and we have to be more aware of the condition and it’s effects. We want our parents to live longer and decided that one way would be to have a regular massage from Dominic. The results are beneficial for their wellbeing and we totally recommend Dominic’s service for all Pacific people. It costs $60 for 1 ½ hour full body massage. A small investment to help improve their quality of life”.

MISSION
We take pride in the fact that the services we offer are appropriate for our client base. We encourage our staff to maintain professional standards and encourage them to continue their education as well as provide on-gong on the job training. It is important for all staff to maintain good product knowledge as well as have great customer service skills. We have also always endeavoured to employ a good mix of locals with a mix of ethnicities.
